Educational TherapyDoes your child struggle with reading?
Does homework seem to be a nightly battle? Does your child hate going to school? Do you suspect or know that your child has Dyslexia or other learning challenge? The Sagacious Dyslexic provides educational therapy for those students who learn in more creative ways. Educational therapy is a dynamic combination of academic remediation and child development approaches that provide individualized intensive intervention for students with a wide range of learning disabilities and learning differences. The goal is to build positive learning experiences with your students while building the skills needed to become lifelong learners. About ChristineMost of the students I am fortunate to meet have Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, ADD/ADHD, mild spectrum Autism or other learning issues so we focus on building reading, writing and executive function skills.
I have received my Educational Therapist certification from UC Riverside and have experience in multiple Orton-Gillingham based reading intervention methods. I have been fortunate to work in classroom, small group, clinical and one-on-one situations, each based on identifying what works best for the students. In addition to working with students with language based learning differences like Dyslexia, I also work with parents to navigate the special education system and advocate for the needs of their students.
